How do PCL threads work?

Polycaprolactone (PCL) is a synthetic polymer that completely dissolves in the tissue after a certain period of time. Polycaprolactone takes longer to dissolve than PDO or PLLA. The idea of using PCL threads in aesthetic procedures was born in Korea and quickly gained popularity around the world. The procedure involves inserting PCL threads under the skin (into selected areas) using a very thin needle. After insertion, the needle is removed and a dressing is placed on the skin.
