Description
Radiesse Lidocaine
is a filler formulated with calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA) microspheres suspended in a water-rich gel carrier. It is biocompatible, which means that no allergy testing is necessary prior to treatment. CaHA and its components, calcium and phosphorus, occur naturally in human tissues.
Stimulation of fibroblasts
Thanks to the gel carrier, the filling effect is visible immediately after the procedure. Over time (after about 4 months), the gel is absorbed by macrophages and disappears, with new collagen produced by fibroblasts taking its place.
Collagen synthesis
The production of new collagen takes place around calcium hydroxyapatite microparticles, which form a "scaffold" in the tissues and are a kind of stimulant for the production of collagen fibers. As a result, the skin naturally becomes thicker and more elastic.
